Special Welcome to Mount Allison University!

ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵAPP¹ÙÍø would like to share a warm welcome to Mount Allison University, who visited our campus this afternoon (November 10).  The visit was a great opportunity for students to ask the University about their programs, classrooms experience, student life, etc. Mount Allison has been ranked #1 in the primarily undergraduate category in the 2018 Maclean’s magazine University Rankings.  This is the 19th time they have earned such recognition since the rankings were established in 1991.  The University is known for its personalized small classes, a student faculty ratio of 17:1, student engagement, flexible degree programs, and interdisciplinary education. Kim Meade, Vice-President of International and Student Affairs represented Mount Allison University, expressed her opinions of ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵAPP¹ÙÍø by complimenting the top-notch facilities, the staff providing total care to all students, and the diverse and engaged students who always share a kind smile.

Popular Programs

Kim explained the popular programs on campus to our students and described the certain requirements.  For example, a popular program on campus are Sciences, which requires a minimum of 75-80% and an IELTS of 6.5.  Bridging programs are available to students who score lower than the recommended IELTS score.  Fine arts, music, and humanities are among st other popular program offered at the University, as well as offering more flexible programs such as liberal arts and education.

Scholarships

Mount Allison is very proud of the scholarships that are given out to their students.  Kim stated, “80% of our new students are offered scholarships”.  A new agreement has been made between ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵAPP¹ÙÍø and Mount Allison, which allows $3000 of renewable scholarships from graduates with a 80% average or higher, to be considered for this scholarship.

Campus Life

Students at ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵAPP¹ÙÍø are always highly involved in campus activities, so it is only natural for students to want to know how campus life is at Mount Allison University.  Mount Allison has an international center, they provide mentor ship for new students, graduation preparation workshops for the workplace, and 150 clubs from intramural to cultural activities.
